Don’t compromise on strength or weight with the NEW Lightweight Staging Youngman Boards
Jan 4, 2021
Designed to offer strength and durability without weighing tradesmen down, WernerCo has launched its new Lightweight Staging Youngman Boards, an ideal platform system for onsite use.
Also referred to as Light Weight Stagings (LWS), the new staging boards provide a safe and uninterrupted working platform for various jobs around the work site including bridging gaps. Designed to be lighter but stronger, the staging boards are made with robust aluminium box section stiles for added strength and durability, as well as being incredibly easy for tradesmen to transport between locations.
The staging boards are also easy to set up, helping to maximise time spent on site. The aluminium cross bearers on the rear of the staging boards offer increased rigidity, whilst the heavy-duty plastic end caps ensure a smooth profile to the construction.
With safety in mind, the staging boards are designed and tested to the highest standards and are therefore suitable for industrial use. Additionally, the 0.45m wide resin coated boards with aluminium stiles provide a slip-resistant and comfortable working platform.
If required, a full handrail system is available for use in conjunction with the staging boards for added safety and security when working. When used with the handrail system, the staging boards are secured with the robust inner clamps to minimise the risk of the boards moving when in use. The user can also fit two staging boards side by side, using the clamp to secure both together to create a larger working platform.
Stephanie Bradley, Product Manager for Access Products commented: “For any tradesman working with staging boards, it’s important to have a solution that is easy to use and transport whilst also having a product that is designed to meet the high standards expected by tradesmen.”
With a maximum load of 300kg, the new staging boards are available in six sizes, from 3m weighing just 15.7kg up to 6m weighing 35.6kg, allowing tradesmen to select the most suitable size for their build requirements.
